If you ask a typical evangelical Christian, "What is the 'World's Greatest Book'?," the answer would invariably be, "The Bible. of course." If you ask a historian, "What book has had the greatest influence on the history of the world?," the answer would be invariably, "The Bible, of course." If you ask an athiest, "What book do you fear and hate the most?." the answer would be invariably be, "The Bible, of course."

However, when you look at the actions of the people, there is often a widespread disparity between what they say and what they do. Most people don't read the Bible regularly. Many Christians read Bible storybooks, or books about the Bible, or books containing Biblical truth. but don't read the real thing. Many children are actually confused about what the Bible really says because the story tapes, story books, and story videos they have in their homes and in church so often add in fictional characters or leave out important information.

The Bible was the first book ever printed on Gutenberg's press. Since then, at least one book of the Bible has been translated and printed into over 2,300 languages. The Psalmist asked, "How may a young man keep his way pure?" His answer was, "By living according to Your Word."
